AI Analysis: Temporary and Secure
Speakeazy uses AI technology to analyze your content for the purpose of identifying characters, attributing dialogue, and organizing your scripts. This analysis is essential to provide you with the time-saving features you rely on.
Important: Your content is NOT retained or stored by AI providers.
- AI analysis happens in real-time during processing
- Content is sent to AI services only for analysis purposes
- AI providers do NOT store your content
- Your content is NOT used to train AI models
- No permanent record of your content exists in AI systems
Contractual Protection from Anthropic
Our primary AI provider is Anthropic, the company behind Claude AI. We access Claude through Anthropic's commercial API, which provides explicit contractual protections for your content.
From Anthropic's Commercial Terms:
“Anthropic may not train models on Customer Content from Services.”
This means your manuscripts, scripts, and creative works are contractually guaranteed to never be used for AI training. Additionally:
- You retain full ownership of all your inputs and outputs
- Your content is treated as confidential information
- API data is retained only briefly for abuse monitoring, then deleted
- This is different from consumer Claude products—API customers get stronger protections

Our Secure Storage
Your content is stored only to run the service, in our managed database and media storage. This storage is necessary to provide you with:
- Access to your analyzed projects from any device
- Character profiles and analysis results
- Your voice samples and recordings
- Project organization and settings
Your content is encrypted in transit, and encrypted at rest by our database and storage providers, following industry-standard security practices.
Your Content is Protected
We have implemented strict policies and technical safeguards to protect your work:
- Your content is never sold, and never shared for any purpose beyond running the analysis you asked for
- Anthropic, which performs the AI analysis, is contractually prohibited from training on your content; every other provider in the chain is listed on our Subprocessors page
- Your content is never used for AI model training
- Your content is never used for any purpose other than providing you with Speakeazy services
- You maintain full ownership and control of your content
- You can delete your content at any time
